Saga Corporate Finance’s Global M&A Partner Aventum (Finland-based) assisted Enerim Oy and its owners on the sale of its Smart Meter Operations (“SMO”) business to Aidon Oy, a leading Finnish supplier of smart metering and smart grid solutions for energy distribution network operators.

Enerim, a leading service and SaaS solution provider for the energy sector owned by KLAR Partners, has agreed to sell its business assets related to the SMO business to Aidon. Enerim’s SMO business provides automated reading services of smart meters, which are sold as a service to customers all over Finland. Enerim SMO business’ customers are mainly district system operators (DSOs). The SMO business employs 20 professionals with strong expertise and knowledge of the market.

The divestment allows Enerim to further invest and fully focus on its End User Market (“EUM”) business and strengthen its position as a leading software and services partner for utility companies in northern Europe. The EUM business line’s market-leading SaaS solutions have been developed particularly to support energy and utility companies’ customer management and billing processes.

With the transaction, Enerim’s SMO business gets to grow as part of Aidon that has excellent qualifications to develop the business further. With this acquisition, Aidon strengthens its position as the market leader in meter services in Finland.
