Saga Corporate Finance is pleased to have assisted the owners of Premisoft AS in selling Premas AS to Star Information Systems AS (“STAR”), a portfolio company of Longship AS, a Norwegian private equity fund. This acquisition has paved the way for a strategic partnership between STAR and Premas to enhance their offerings and accelerate innovation within the maritime and energy sectors.

Since its establishment in 1986, Premas has developed from a pure maintenance system provider to a complete administration system. Offering B2B software solutions for both the web and desktop, Premas caters to customers’ critical needs onboard vessels. It is an “all-in-one” software solution for offshore, onshore, shipping, and aquaculture, with rich functionalities and integrated modules. Premas serves an international customer base with a presence across 20 countries and all continents.

Longship AS is a Norwegian private equity fund. In early 2024, Longship acquired STAR, a trusted partner in the global maritime and offshore sectors. Approaching NOK 100 million in revenue in 2023, STAR supports an international client base through five global offices, providing solutions that enable the maritime and energy sectors to control, maintain, and optimize their assets.

STAR and Premas will combine their expertise to enhance their maintenance systems and HSEQ solutions as partners. They will maintain all existing product lines, ensuring customer continuity while pursuing long-term synergies to boost their overall value proposition. By partnering with STAR and Premas, Longship supports its future development into an established global maritime software space leader.
